It's arrived

Well UPS tried to deliver it Thursday night at 19:20, but Janet was bathing Magnus and I was still at work so didn't have it for Friday. Was really hoping Janet would be in to take delivery Friday and was very happy when I got home to find they hadn't tried yet and then sure enough an hour or so later there was a ring at the door and there it was my new iPad.

Firsthand impressions are very positive. Have set up mail with the Exchange server and all sears to work very well. Have downloaded a number of iPad specific apps such as Aim and Tweetdeck and they work well on the larger screen. The iPhone apps work ok and don't look too bad when upscaled but it will still be nice to see more iPad native versions come out, this Squarespace app would be one as the website doesn't work well with Safari on the iPad.

Some other small grips. The iPad does not seem to charge with A standard iPod charger which is a shame as I have a number. Also No Orange 3G card arrived so had to order that from Orange and will have to wait until the 7th June!

Overall very pleased and look forward to many a happy hour with it.
